first Ekphrastic Collaboration Exhibit
We are excited to share Julie H. Fonte’s announcement of Stone Valley Art’s upcoming Ekphrastic Collaborative Exhibit. You may recognize several Poetry Society of Vermont members in the list of poets and artists who responded to the call for submissions in this wildly creative event offering writers and visual artists an opportunity to collaborate and have fun!
Please join us on June 27, 2026 for Stone Valley Art’s first Ekphrastic Collaboration Exhibit. We have crafted a unique show, displaying over 80 pieces of work, that is rooted in mutual inspiration among participants. You are invited to see how 40 artists and writers responded to one another’s work.
The opening reception begins at 3:00 PM at Stone Valley Arts located at 145 East Main Street, Poultney, VT. Enjoy light refreshments during the gallery viewing. At 3:30 PM we will invite discussion with participants regarding their experiences over the last six months. Poets may read their poems, and artists are encouraged to discuss their processes. Afterwards, please continue to enjoy snacking, mingling, and gallery viewing until 5:00 PM.
