PSOV is excited to share the All Things LGBTQ Interview Show : Buffy Aakaash from January 19th where PSOV member Linda Quinlan, one of the hosts for All Things LGBTQ, interviews Buffy Aakaash PSOV Editor, Treasurer, and the host of the PSOV Online Poetry Group.
The dialogue with Buffy, prompted by Linda’s insightful questions and personal reflections, offers a deep look into his poetic philosophy. When asked about completion, and following the interviewer’s light-hearted remark that they “hate editing,” Buffy counters by calling a poem a “living” entity, never truly finished, and constantly refined for “universal sort of time.” The discussion also covers the pervasive metaphor of nature in his Vermont-based work, the dual purpose of his writing as both a “therapeutic experiment” and audience connection, and culminated in a reading of his moving, metaphor-rich poem, “Breaking.”
