The Poetry Society of Vermont is seeking a member to fill the position of PSOV Archivist. The PSOV Archivist is an unpaid appointed position to the PSOV Executive Board. As a charitable nonprofit organization, we depend upon members to fill these important positions and take an active role in Executive Board responsibilities. If you have experience with digital file systems and/or organizational skills and wish to learn how to use our Google Workspace, please consider joining the Executive Board and supporting the Poetry Society of Vermont’s mission of creating an inclusive and supportive community that promotes poetry in Vermont and beyond.
The PSOV Archivist plays a crucial role in preserving the history and intellectual property of the Poetry Society of Vermont. This appointed executive board position is responsible for the systematic organization, maintenance, and accessibility of all PSOV documents and media, leveraging Google Workspace for efficient digital archiving. The PSOV Archivist works with the Vermont History Center ensuring that the Poetry Society of Vermont Collection is kept up to date. The PSOV Archivist also maintains a comprehensive index of all poems published in the society’s long-standing journal, The Mountain Troubadour, and ensures the proper submission of materials to the Vermont History Center. Beyond these specific duties, the Archivist is a fully engaged member of the executive board, participating in all discussions and decisions related to the society’s overall activities.
