An enthusiastic crowd gathered in the Hayes Room at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library Saturday evening to celebrate the launching of the Poetry Society of Vermont’s literary journal The Mountain Troubadour 2025 (Rootstock Publishing.) PSOV members were invited to read their poems that were selected for this new edition of The Mountain Troubadour (TMT.) It was a pleasure to hear the words on the pages come to life in the poet’s own voice. Offering a wide range of styles and forms, from the pastoral to the political, this year’s Mountain Troubadour is an outstanding representation of the Poetry Society of Vermont. Thank you to everyone who attended the 2025 Mountain Troubadour book launch and to the poets who continue to write and submit their works to the Poetry Society of Vermont’s contests. Remember that the PSOV 2025 Summer Contests are open to members until July 31st.
