We are excited to share PSOV member Caitlin Gildrien’s recent publication of The Stone Sits Down to Dinner in MER (Mom Egg Review) a literary journal about motherhood.
I wrote this poem in a Poetry Society of Vermont workshop some years ago. The title was, if I recall correctly, the example they gave for the prompt — to put an inanimate object in a human situation. Came tumbling right out. Edited with the Ruth Stone House writing group, but only changed a couple words. One of those.
Out now from MER – Mom Egg Review, for a folio called “Motherhood as Noise and Silence,” with my gratitude. The whole folio is really lovely, do check it out.
