Samantha Kolber is the owner and publisher of Rootstock Publishing, a curated hybrid and traditional press in Montpelier, Vermont. She is the author of the chapbook Birth of a Daughter, a 5-Star Readers’ Favorite and Poetry Winner in the 2023 San Francisco Book Festival. Her poems have appeared in Rattle, Tiny Seed, Hunger Mountain, and Minerva Rising, among other publications. She received her MFA in creative writing from Goddard College and completed a post-grad semester in poetry at the Solstice MFA Program at Pine Manor College. Her debut novel, Stolen, releases in December to coincide with her 50th birthday!

Jannetta Lamourt, PSOV Membership Chair, holds a Master’s in English, and her latest endeavour is the pursuit of a PhD in Psychology. She is a prolific reader and writer, mother of two marvelous children, and three lovely grandbabies. Her first poem, “Math is Better,” was published at age 11, and she rediscovered a love for writing poetry many years later. Her poetry is now published in numerous anthologies in both the UK and the USA, and this past spring, she took part in the PoemCity celebration and anthology.

daithi’ resides in Montpelier with his wife on the unceded land of the Abenaki people. He has published poems in literary journals such as Tendril and Refocus, and most recently in the Poem City anthology. His ancestral roots are primarily in what is now known as Ireland. David’s writing can be found under the pseudonym, daithi’ where he often writes poetry books reviews for the PSOV Website.  David has served on the PSOV Executive Board since 2023.

Elizabeth R. McCarthy lives with her husband in an old farmhouse in Walden, Vermont. After retiring from teaching, she turned to poetry when the pandemic created a windfall of time. She then joined the Poetry Society of Vermont and the online poetry group, The Lockdown Poets of Aberdeen, Scotland. Elizabeth is the Web Manager/Workspace Administrator for PSOV and has published four collections of poetry.

Sunday Afternoon Poetry at the Jaquith monthly poetry readings are free and open to the public and held at the Jaquith Public Library, 122 School Street, Marshfield, Vermont.
