SPRING LUNCHEON & WORKSHOP
SATURDAY, MAY 13th 2023 12-4
Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm
1119 Quechee Main Street, Quechee, VT 05059
We’re pleased to have Chard deNiord join us again as PSOV Workshop Critic. A former poet laureate of Vermont (2015-2019), Chard was our workshop critic in 2017. He has led many workshops, including the Palm Beach Poetry Festival. A prolific author, he will read some of his own work after commenting on all of our poems. https://www.charddeniord.com/
If you have books to sell, you’re welcome to bring them. Also consider bringing literary journals to give away; it’s helpful to others to see potential publications for submission. Please take home any unclaimed journals.
- Mixed Greens Salad with house vinaigrette
- Marshland Farms Four cheese ravioli, tossed with a curried green apple and butternut squash
ragout, topped with toasted pumpkin seeds
- Apple & Blueberry crisp with whipped cream
- Coffee and Tea service
If you prefer a vegan, gluten free or other option please note that on your reservation.
PLEASE SEND YOUR POEMS: DEADLINE MONDAY, MAY 1st
Send one poem, any style, any topic. Times New Roman 12, single spaced. The shorter the poem the better, as we have only two-and-a-half hours for discussion. We’ll discuss 15 poems of those present in the workshop. Everyone who submits will receive comments from Chard.
No previously published poems please. Email your poems as a Word attachment to po****************@gm***.com. Please put your name and “spring poem” in the subject line. Members will vote online on poems, and the five winners will be published in The Mountain Troubadour in 2024. Good luck!
