SPRING LUNCHEON/WORKSHOP

Luncheon: Quechee Quiche & Salad: a choice of vegetarian quiche or Quiche Lorraine (with bacon) served with a garden salad, soup du jour, and fruit-topped cheesecake for dessert; also Green Mountain Coffee and assorted teas. Cost is $25 per person, tax and tip included.

DIRECTIONS:

From Montpelier/Burlington Area:

Take I-89 South to Exit 1. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto US-4 W.  In 0.7 miles, take a right onto Quechee Main St. Here you’ll drive down a steep hill and in 1.1 miles, you’ll find the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms on your right, 1119 Quechee Main Street.


From Brattleboro Area:

Take I-91 North to Exit 10N which merges onto I-89 North to Barre/Montpelier. Take I-89 N one exit to Exit 1. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto US-4 W. In 1.4 miles, take a right onto Quechee Main St. Here you’ll drive down a steep hill and in 1.1 miles, you’ll find the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms on your right, 1119 Quechee Main Street. 

 

Laura Ellzey will serve as Workshop Chair and the readers are: Sue Bauchner, Philip Coleman, and Namaya. Poet Baron Wormser will be our PSOV Workshop Critic.  A former poet laureate of Maine, he was also the judge for our national PSOV contest earlier in the year. He founded the Frost Place Conference and has received fellowships from Bread Loaf, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Guggenheim Foundation. He will read some of his own work after commenting on all of our poems.

 

As usual, there will be a morning Council Meeting from 9:30 – 11:30; please join us if you wish and please contact any board member if you have concerns or ideas to share! The Luncheon will follow at noon, and the Workshop will run from about 1:00 to 3:30. New members, contact us with any questions.
